Road trip (to poor manners)

Yesterday I was able to languish the day away rock hunting in Wisconson. Also bought some plants from a nursery way* cheaper than anything locally. So that was cool. Uncool part approaching. There is a chum I rarely get to see anymore and we had plans in the evening. But the tape I was supposed to bring was in Brainard the the trunk of my friend's car that I was borrowing it from. And rock hunting which was supposed to have me home in plenty of time to let the dogs out, shower and change clothes and still get to my friend's house was suddenly later and later and we still had to drive back to MN! Grrr. I hate letting other people drive, because they drive my schedule too. And upon talking to chum I don't get to see it was just becoming more difficult and more obsticles kept getting thrown in my way. (Started raining - I was riding my motorcycle which was parked miles from my house at the road trip driver's), my possible tardiness made Chum and wife want to eat supper which means I would have to eat something before I went - making me even later. So we called it off for the night. Which took a load off my mind (want to see their new place but don't want to keep them up all nite etc etc) but made me sad just the same. It's kinda funny that I hate cell phones and don't have one and I'm assured that somehow having access to one ruined the night. If I wasn't able to use one I would have felt more comfortable pushing to leave Wisc. earlier to be back on time. Expressing my stress about the timeline just made them hand a phone over. So I could call and say I would be late but no alterations on their part would be made to be on time just because I was able to call and be rude and say it's all about me how can you adjust your life to suit my lack of planning? *sigh* Anyways, I have to get ready for work now.
