Just so we all know the government has been wasting time since the invention of government, today is the anniversary of the day that US Congress replaced the pesky annoying half-dime with the nickel. -May 16, 1866

Glad to know the taxpayer dollars were at work, or being invented, or creating future work for themselves. Kinda like all the state quarters keeping government minting jobs. Oh, and speaking of nickels, have you seen the new ones? Gurgle.
