Slacker!

A much need respite from the computer has been accomplished. My over commitment to volunteer work is lessening slightly. I finally got to get some gardening done in the yard with some help from a friend. The start of overtime season has begun (aka summer) We're like fifteen people short at work and to make it easier (not) management sent down a big directive that they're going to start the progressive discipline process on people making personal phone calls, coming in late every day etc. Which is about time really, and yet the timing seems trite and punitive to everyone - not just offenders who aren't doing there jobs (I'm a union steward too). I have a Bolder Options bike race next weekend and of course my mentee is away at camp until the day before. Did I mention that in our first practice ride a pudgy guy jogged past us at Lake of the Isles? We've got a long way to go in only six more weeks. I'm also on a Speed Dating Commitee and there are a lot of events coming up between and for Pride Week that need to be advertised at for our first big event on the 25th. Yesterday I hung out with my Little Brother and we went to play in the kiddie pool at Powderhorn Park becuase the park closest to his house was being sanitized and would not be able to be used for the rest of the day (read someone's diaper fell off in the pool the day before - Yuck). Time to get ready for work.
