Crappalonia!

I'm days behind on this. Mostly cause I've overbooked myself socially. Which is a little bit of YAY but mostly Yawn cause I'm wearing myself out not getting enough sleep. Ever been so tired you can't even fall asleep? So here's my massive catch-up post to cover the whole weekend.

Friday - Singles Dinner. Fantabulous. Except for verbally sparring with the host and telling her that she was making people uncomfortable with her antics. I just wish everyone at the table that concurred with me 30 seconds earlier had that guts to at least throw out "Yeah, you tell her" and back me up. Sometimes I guess I have to fight for the underdog. Maybe that's why I became a union steward. Anywho. So she hates me now and knows I blantantly tried to encourage people to defect from her after dinner plans into one more to my liking. Of which the group split nicely into a couple of groups. Eh, we'll see what happens. I think a big portion of the problem is the age difference and her attempts to promote social interaction amongst people in a weird way. Maybe just weird to me? Blah. Enough on that one.

So then coffee. Nice chatting. And burlesque show. Nice T&A. Plus drag king, live singing etc. Got a table right in front after the place was already packed with my smooth talking! =)

Saturday - Hosted the books for QMatch. Which irratated the heck out of me. I had said Sunday and gave specific time and she scheduled me for Saturday, crappy extended hours. Not to mention that it was a bust. No one showed up. Will be better next week, moved to Sunday and the hours that I want, whew. I'll just hope for a better turnout. Then went to the Diva Riot cabaret where my friend was performing standup. Was actually funny. Had a good time. Played some pool at my local hangout which is now smoke free!! And then did some dancing at super smoky alternate locale. Kept a friend up too late chatting. Had to spring ahead on the clock and get no sleep for second day in a row.

Sunday- L Word potluck at new friends house. She gave me oh so slightly wrong directions. But North vs. South turned out to be a very critical and lengthy detour! Eventually found it. Good times had by all. Went very briefly to my normal Sunday nite Str8 meeting. And then took a road trip to Buffalo. Changed the day into an LWord Marathon. Did a mention another error in directions? I think it was a bad driving day all around as far as that was concerned and I was glad I was not doing the driving that time. WE SHOULD HAVE BOUGHT A SQUIRREL!

Got home, listened to my messages, tried to call my friend and gossip on her way home, accidently called str8 boy and woke him up! Poor baby. I was so embarassed. I suddenly hate Caller ID. I'll have to make it up to him somehow. Nite-nite for now.
