I'm afraid I must protest!
As people who know me understand, I'm not a fan of reality shows. I think they take the trivial and make it completly ridiculous. However the majority of mind candy, brain dead lemmings here in America apparantly disagree because a new version pops up all the time pandering to the lowest common demoninator. I even tried to get into shows that were attempting to bring in more educated viewers and/or members of groups that would appeal to me. I did catch a couple of episodes of 1900 house, Top Chef and a healthy chunk of Boy meets Boy. But the one I just saw advertised actually turned my stomach with digust. And on a supposedly highbrow channel.... A&E's new show is called "God or the Girl". That's right, they're taking the very few young men they could find and shack them up with a woman and try to get them to give up their devotion. Seemingly forever casting this woman in the harlot's light of making a man give up his faith and become a sinner. Bad Eve. No apple for you.
I'm going to try to find the silver lining in this, there's less males every year applying for the priesthood... might eventually make them change their mind about women priests but that's another topic. Or maybe making a mockery of the celebacy vow will allow them to let it go thereby giving an outlet for sexual repression and reducing molestation cases. Going back to be to dream of peace on earth and good will to all.
