Today was fantastic. After working late for a little overtime I slept the entire day away. Right through all the nasty sales calls and my mother. Some much needed rest after being hung over yesterday. And I'm not working any overtime on these next too off days. It's getting a little crazy at work becuase yet another person turned in their notice and their last night is Sunday. Just in case I thought the three temps we have were going to help relieve the pressure. Oy.

Graduation Day

Finally my mentee from Bolder Options had her Phase I graduation ceremony tonight. Was nice, they even bumped it up to the "Gold Medal" as long as she attends two more youth meetings and her mom/gramma someone goes to the parent's meeting. Which means she gets to keep the bike she's been riding. It was a little comical loading my dad, her parent's and her little sister all into the Toyota Matrix. I mean it's a station wagon, but not like the big old wood panel versions from the 70's hehehe.

And the concert Sunday is this lovely chicka. Check it out. 4pm. Invite Only. And after the concert I go to Maxwell's. Okay bye.

Anyone local want to go to this house concert? Chick with guitar action. I guess they haven't been as well attended during the summer months lately and thinking of not doing it anymore. Even though it's a little Lite Rock for my tastes I would certainly like them to continue helping up and coming folks. Only ten of your hard earned bucks. Oh course after the concert I have to hang out with my Str8 friends. You're welcome to come help me overtake the tyranny of the masses on that front as well. =)

The heat's unbearable

One of the few times I've been glad for working so much. Someone else can pay to keep me cool. I also went to Women's Happening dance last night. Was supposed to have like ten people that I knew going and one went. I saw a lot of other people I knew but didn't know they were going to be there. Worked the Aquatennial Triathalon last weekend and seeing some of those people go by... I know I can do it now. Anyone wanna teach me to swim better tho? A mile is a really long way. Hanging with Little Bro of course (who finally got a phone YAY!), and trying to get Bolder Options chick to accomplish some overdue tasks so that she can graduate from probation on time but it aint working out that way. So friday night was my big card party for OTB and although small it was a rousing success I feel. Then a few of us went to the Twilight Dance at the Kitty Cat Club. I even invited a str8 boy. One injury to someone I don't know but might change future dances. I also had fun in spite of rescue and ambulance attending, and I got to flirt with a lot of girls inviting them to the Qmatch Speed Dating we were having on saturday night at the Blue Moon Coffee Shop. Also small but successful. Only one person (who came for a few minutes and left) didn't match anyone else about making new friends or setting up on a date! I'm wondering if it could be a monthly thing. Every two weeks didn't seem to adversly affect anything. Although that's too much for me to do all the time once a month seems feasible. Well got to go get my Little Brother, we're going to paint his name on the bicycle that we got for free on Saturday from the Rosemount police department and Big Brother Big Sister. We had to do some repairs which was fun and got to teach him how to work on his bike a little bit. It was cool. His dad even hung out with us too. Nice guy. And then work after that. Whew. Busy girl again.
